September is National Library Card Sign-up Month, and we want to make sure that all children, teens, and adults in Garrett County have the smartest card of all – a library card. Applying for a card is free and easy. Just come to one of our five locations and bring identification showing proof of your address. Check our Policies page for details. Parents must accompany all children who apply. Children eight and younger signing up for their first library card qualify for the My First Card program and will receive a backpack containing a book, certificate, activity sheets, stickers, and guidelines for using the card.
