StoryTails  4:30 PM - 6:30 PM  Children Services
Branch: Grantsville 

The Grantsville Library will hold StoryTails: Children Reading to Dogs on the first and third Mondays of each month from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.

This program is designed to help children develop confidence in reading. Each child reads to a dog for 15 – 20 minutes, with the dog’s handler sitting nearby to give reading assistance if necessary. All dogs are certified by Therapy Dogs International. No registration is required, and parents are asked to remain at the library while their child is reading. The program will not take place on days when the Garrett County schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather.

"Companion Planting" - Gardening Class presented by the Garrett County Master Gardeners from University of Maryland Extension. Free and open to the public. Register at the contact number or email below.

Join us for a Celtic Harp concert featuring  Harpist Lynn Barnes-Dale. It's a great way to celebrate Spring.  Lynn will play a selection of Celtic Tunes, and light refreshments will be provided afterwards. This concert is free and open to the public. Lego Club  6:00 PM - 7:00 PM  Children Services
Branch: Grantsville 
Lego Club is designed for children ages 4 and up and features free building time with lots of building bricks. Children are encouraged to build a creation based on a new theme each month. Staff may photograph and/or display completed builds in the library.

Lego Club typically meets on the fourth Monday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and registration is required.
