Join us at Oakland Library for a presentation by Katharine Kenny and Eleanor Randrup – co-authors of the book “Courageous Women of Maryland." This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ruth Enlow Library and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is not required, but a courtesy call to the library is appreciated at 301-334-3996, ext. 117, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. "Courageous Women of Maryland” focuses on eighteen of the state’s most influential and courageous women, past and present, including Dr. Alta Schrock of Grantsville. This educational book, which is appropriate for grades 4 – 8, takes a look at each woman's achievements and the courageous choices each made to realize success. The authors will discuss their research and stories associated with these women. They also will sell and sign copies of their books.
