Celebrate National Hot Tea Month at the Accident Library
is National Hot Tea Month, and the Ruth Enlow Library invites you to celebrate
with a tea party at the Accident Branch on Tuesday, January 31, from 2:30 –
3:30 p.m. The library will host Adrianne (Andee) Thompson,
co-owner of the Tea Cupboard in Cumberland, Maryland, for an hour of tea
tasting and discussion about the history, categories, and health benefits of
tea. “I will bring cupping sets to provide a tasting experience in the way it’s
done on the tea plantations,” said Thompson, “as well as a couple of the Tea
Cupboard’s most popular teas, so guests can enjoy a cuppa!”
Thompson has been
giving tea lectures for nine years, as well as tea classes through the
Continuing Education Department at Allegany College in Cumberland. She and her
husband Bob expanded the Tea Cupboard to include a Tea Room and to offer a
number of other artistic and social events to the community.
