Gardening Classes @ Your Local Library slide

Gardening Classes are scheduled to begin at all Ruth Enlow Library branches this spring, presented by the Garrett County Master Gardeners from University of Maryland Extension, and are free and open to the public. Registration is required, as individual classes may be canceled if no one has registered.

A variety of gardening topics as well as plant clinics are planned for this season. Classes in Oakland will be held in the evenings at 6 p.m., with the first topic – Planting, Pruning, Dividing: Spring Chores – happening on Monday, March 5. Friendsville’s first class – Planning Your Garden – is next on Wednesday, March 14 at 4 p.m. Grantsville’s class – Flowering Shrubs –  follows on Thursday, March 29 at 2 p.m. Accident will hold its first class – Composting Basics – on Tuesday, April 17 at 2 p.m. Kitzmiller's first class - Planning Your Garden - is scheduled for Monday, April 16 at 6 p.m.
