Gardening Classes @ Your Local Library slide

Gardening Classes are scheduled to begin at all Ruth Enlow Library branches this spring, presented by the Garrett County Master Gardeners from University of Maryland Extension, and are free and open to the public. Registration is required, as individual classes may be canceled if no one has registered.

A variety of gardening topics as well as plant clinics are planned for this season. Classes in Oakland are being held in the evenings at 6 p.m. Topics for August and September include:

  • August 6: Bugs, Spiders, and Beetles: Oh My! - 6pm @ Oakland Branch
  • August 23: Attracting Pollinators to Your Garden - 2pm@ Grantsville Branch
  • Sept. 17: Fall Decorating and Clean Up - 6pm @ Kitzmiller Branch
  • Sept. 18: Small Fruit for the Home Garden - 2pm @ Accident Branch
  • Sept. 27: Fall Decorating and Clean Up - 2pm @ Grantsville Branch
