Documentary screening on Oct. 17th
What if everyone read one book at the same time? The Ruth Enlow Library invites our community members to read a book and discuss it with other Marylanders.
The 2018 One Maryland One Book Selection is the gripping read Bloodsworth: The True Story of the First Death Row Inmate Exonerated by DNA Evidence. The book describes a criminal justice milestone in Maryland that would eventually lead to the exoneration of hundreds of others wrongfully accused of violent crimes. Kirk Bloodsworth learned of a new technology, DNA fingerprinting, and realized it was his last chance to prove his innocence in this harrowing true crime account that will have readers flipping pages as if it were fiction.
Patrons who sign up to join one of the events below can pick up their free copy of the book at the Oakland or Accident library.

One Maryland One Book is Maryland’s statewide community reading project and is the signature program of the Maryland Center for the Book at Maryland Humanities.
