In two hour-long sessions, learn strategies for researching family history and finding that missing branch on the family tree. Participants can attend one or both sessions.

First Hour: Resources and Search Strategies for Finding Your Ancestors

Find out how to avoid potential detours on your road to family history research, as well as possible ways to break through roadblocks.

Second Hour: Where to Find Maryland Genealogical Resources

Do you have Maryland ancestors?  Then you'll need to know which institutions you should visit to find the records and information you'll need for researching them.  Come hear about some of the most commonly used research records, where they are located, and whether or not you can find them online.

The first session (5:30-6:30) will be presented by Eva Slezak and the second by Caprice Di Liello. Both are genealogical research experts from the Enoch Pratt Library.
