Comedy Magic Show

To celeberate National Library week, magician Tim Canter will perform 2 free shows at the Friendsville Library.  There will be two showings, 9:20  10:30 in the town hall next to library.   Fun for all ages!

Kids! Origami Bookmarks!

Exploration Sense-A-Tion

NOTE: The March and April 2019 sessions will not take place.

The Ruth Enlow Library and Garrett County Family Support Services are co-hosting a children’s sensory program on the second Saturday of each month at the Oakland Library, 6 N. Second St., Oakland from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.  This interactive program will include activities specifically designed for 3 – 12 year-olds who have Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, or other special needs that create sensory sensitivities. Children may participate in a craft, explore sensory activities, play games, and interact with other children. The program is free. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Story Time

Children's Hour

Children's Hour is a program for preschoolers ages 3-5, held on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 11:30am, September through November and January through May. Children's Hour promotes creative expression, social skills, listening comprehension, and school readiness and includes STEM activities, stories, games, music and crafts.

Lap Sit

A children's program designed especially for babies and toddlers (children birth to 36 months).  LapSit is a special program that incorporates singing, rhymes, stories, and other activities that will entertain and stimulate children’s language skills.  A parent or caregiver must stay and participate with the child for the program.

STEAM Kids

Welcome to STEAM Kids @ the library! STEAM Kids meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month September - May. Come join us as we explore a variety of activities that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. All ages welcome.

Lego Club

Welcome to Lego Club @ the library! Lego Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 4:30-5:30 pm. A monthly building theme will be suggested or builders may choose to free-build. The library will provide the Lego and Duplo blocks while the kids provide the imagination! All ages welcome!

Please note: If school is closed or has an early dismissal due to bad weather, there will be no program.
