Homeschoolers Series: Breakout

Breakout presented by Karen Wood, University of Maryland Extension

Breakout is a fast paced, fun experience for the group similar to an escape room, but using cases to unlock. The youth will work with their team to solve this unique game, each group is given a set amount of time to unlock the cases by solving puzzles, using strategy, creativity and logic. The goal is simple; to be the first to solve all of the puzzles and breakout.

Homeschoolers @ The Library: Introduction to Computer Hardware

Kids' Book Club

Kids Book Club is a book discussion group for children in grades 3 through 5. Programs are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month from September through November and January through May.
 
You must be pre-registered to attend this program.
 
Students will be provided with books that they will read and discuss with the group.  They will also enjoy a craft or other fun activity and have a snack based on the themes relevant to the book selection for that month.

Young Readers' Book Club

Young Readers' Book Club is a book discussion group for children in grades 6 and up. Programs are held on the third Tuesday of every month from September through November and January through May.
 
You must be pre-registered to attend this program.
 
Members will be provided with books that they will read and discuss with the group. Meetings include activities and snacks.

S.T.E.A.M. Kids

Join us for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities for children ages six and older. S.T.E.A.M. Kids typically meets from 2:00 to 3:30 on days when schools have an early dismissal for staff development.

This program will be cancelled and not rescheduled if Garrett County Public Schools are cancelled or delayed that day.

Registration is required.

Lego Club

Mon, 01/28/2019 - 6:00pm

Lego Club is designed for children ages 4 and up and features free building time with lots of building bricks. Children are encouraged to build a creation based on a new theme each month. Staff may photograph and/or display completed builds in the library.

Lego Club typically meets on the fourth Monday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Registration is not required. For more information contact Julie at 301-334-3996 x 0104 or julie@relib.net.
