Maintenance Manager/Delivery Driver

40 hours per week with benefits at the Ruth Enlow Library of Garrett County.  Starting pay is $20.00/hr.  

Duties: 

• Establishes and follows delivery schedule with discretion
• Makes additional deliveries as needed
• Monitors and schedules the maintenance and repair needs of Library vehicles
• Cleans main library building in a timely and effective manner
• Performs grounds maintenance as needed
• Monitors and reports repair and renovation needs to Director
• Assists with the installation of new equipment and furniture
• Works with and monitors performance of hired contractors
• Performs repair work as needed at all branches
• Monitors and reports supply needs to Executive Assistant
• Other duties as assigned or required.

• Ability to carry oversize materials, to sit, stand, walk, bend, display manual dexterity, reach, twist upper body, push a book truck, and kneel.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work with people of diverse needs and backgrounds
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and operating instructions as well as MSDS sheets
• Strong communication skills so as to coordinate with staff at the branches
• Ability to follow Maryland highway laws
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team

Education Level:  High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Work environment: 

• Job requires working in an office environment and driving within Garrett County boundaries.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Potential exposure to hazardous elements.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor elements while performing outdoor duties.
