Student Discovery Series: Into the Wild: Getting to Know the Black Bear

Have you ever wondered what a black bear does all day, what it eats, or how it survives in the wild? Join us for a fun and educational adventure into the world of one of Maryland’s most fascinating wild animals! We’ll explore black bear behavior, habitat, diet, hibernation, communication, tracks, and signs while learning how bears fit into the Appalachian ecosystem. Presented by Chris Hull, Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

This program is part of the Ruth Enlow Library's Student Discovery Series. Our volunteer presenters offer a wide variety of enrichment programs for K- 12 students and their families. Space is limited and registration is required. Visit our calendar for upcoming Student Discovery Series events!
