Adult & Teen Summer Reading Challenge

Get ready to dig into Summer Reading 2026 at the Ruth Enlow Library as we Unearth a Story of truly fantastic programming and challenging reading prompts. We're excited to bring you both hands-on and educational events from top-notch presenters and your favorite Library faces at all five (5) branches! With programs like Save a Story: DIY Oral History, Gardening with DNA: Understanding Plant Genetics, Steeped in History: Tea Bag Art, Metal Detecting Basics and so much more, we absolutely have something for everyone! Registration is required, so be sure to save your seat by visiting our calendar or contacting the branch hosting the event.

New for Summer Reading 2026 we're offering Teen-specific events at the Main (Oakland) Library! Join us for Open Mic Night, Gadget Painting, a Book Pavers Craft, and LEGO Night - all with your Library Associate bestie, Blair. Pssst....you'll know which events were created with you in mind if they're preceded by the word 'Teen' on the brochure and calendar.

So stop on in to your local Library location today to grab a brochure, which contains a full list of programs as well as the 2026 Reading Challenge. And while you're there, think about grabbing this year's T-shirt (we can tell you, they're absolute dino-mite!). Busy or just not in the mood for an outing? We got you. Head on over to our SRC Resources page to print out a copy of your brochure at home.
