2018 Thank Yous

There are a lot of people to thank this holiday season here at the Library – always a good problem to have!

First off, I would like to thank you, the patrons, for all of your support – we’re proud to serve you and proud of what we can contribute to the community.

Secondly, I would like to thank our Board of Trustees, whose conscientiousness and support has made a lot of great changes recently.  We’ll miss our two retiring Board members, Carol Newman and Cosette Harman, but look forward to working with Christian Mash and Clint Bradley going forward!

I would also like to thank our newly reinvigorated Friends of the Library for their willingness to step up and offer their direct support to the Library as volunteers.  The spirit of community volunteerism is still strong in Garrett County!

Our elected County officials deserve thanks as well for their help in improving Library services and ensuring that we’re able to provide so many great programs and serve so many people.

We have worked with a lot of great partners throughout the year – the Lions Clubs of Grantsville and Oakland/Mountain Lake Park, Oakland Rotary, Mountaintop Tabletop, GOBA, the Judy Center, the Board of Education, the Friendsville Library Committee, the Arts Council, the Chamber of Commerce, school staff and many more – we’re very happy to do all we can to help!

And last (but certainly not least) I would like to thank our amazing staff here at the Ruth Enlow Library – it’s an honor to work with such caring and invested people.

I wish nothing but the best for you and yours this holiday season.  Relax, enjoy family and friends, and we’ll see you soon with new and exciting programs and additions to your Library!
