The Ruth Enlow Library invites patrons to join the fun at its free holiday events in early December.
Friendsville library
Wednesday, December 5th starting at 2 pm
Children can drop by the Friendsville library at any time in the afternoon to choose from several different gifts to make for the holiday season. All supplies for crafts and wrapping paper will be provided.
Oakland library
Monday, December 10th: Book reading at 4 pm, open house with Santa from 5-7 pm
Parents, bring cell phones to take free photos of your child with Santa and Mrs. Claus. All young children will receive a small souvenir from Santa and can decorate their own sugar cookies. You can even visit the North Pole and see the Aurora Borealis via Virtual Reality goggles. Author Deborah Wagner-Brenneman and illustrator Melinda Bishoff will read their book, The Perfect Tree for Mrs. B, just before the Oakland open house at 4:00 pm.
Kitzmiller library
Wednesday, December 12th from 6-7 pm
Make a Christmas craft at the Kitzmiller library.
Accident library
Thursday, December 13th
Drop in at any time between 12:30-5:00 pm
The Accident library marks its 40th anniversary this year with an extra-special holiday open house, including a children’s craft table, refreshments, and Virtual Reality demos throughout the afternoon.
Grantsville library
Friday, December 14th from 3:30 to 5:00 pm; program with Mrs. Claus at 4 pm
Meet Santa and celebrate with live music, crafts, refreshments, and a prize drawing. Starting at 4 pm, join a special program with Mrs. Claus, too!
